Director of Human Resources

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead HR operations in a mission-driven behavioral healthcare organization. This role partners with executive leadership to support a strong, compliant, and engaged workforce dedicated to delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational development
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention, especially for clinical roles
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, and engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll processes
  • Support staff training, credentialing, and licensure requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or Human Services-related field (Master's preferred)
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership
  • Experience in nonprofit and/or behavioral healthcare preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred
