What You'll be Doing?

  • Making frequent rounds of facility to insure adequate safeguards and client safety are maintained. 
  • Observing clients for changes in behavior and motivates clients to participate in activities.
  • Advises clients in their personal adjustment utilizing verbal de-escalation techniques. 
  • Interprets the client handbook for clients as needed and applies applicable rules and regulations to clients.
  • Documents individual contacts, daily case notes, incident and injury reports and grievances. 
  • Assists clients in preparing for court appearances or other outside activities.
  • Implements supportive, psycho-educational and recreational groups. 
  • Advises and guides clients on personal hygiene habits. 
  • Monitors and tracks compliance with self-administered medication process after successful completion of training provided by ACTS, Inc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need?

  • A high school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Valid Florida Driver License. 
  • Eligibility status, as determined by Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 435 and/or Local Law.
  • Ability to participate in crisis intervention and CPR/First Aid training and apply learned techniques, as needed.
