What You'll be Doing?

  • Performs admission screenings for persons served to determine appropriate level of care needed.
  • Performs admissions ensuring completion of proper documentation and explanations of rights of persons served.
  • Provides counseling services including, but not limited to psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family counseling, development and updating of treatment plans, and discharge planning.
  • Provides referral or linkage services to ensure needs of persons served are met.
  • Utilizes Electronic Health Record to document clinical service delivery.
  • Observes clients for behavioral changes and progress in treatment.
  • Communicates with persons served empathetically and engages them to talk about their substance abuse, mental health, homelessness and/or criminal justice involvement.
  • Communicates with legal guardians, family members, case managers and/or court administration related to treatment progress.
  • Adheres to regulatory bodies and licensing rules, guidelines and established protocols to carry out all duties required by contract, licensure, accreditation, and certification.
  • Complies with confidentiality standards.
  • Participates in peer review and provides direction and professional development to direct care team, as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What is Required?

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a counseling discipline- social work, counseling, psychology or other human services field.
  • Valid Florida Driver License. 
  • Ability to pass Federal, State, Local Law and Level 2 background clearances.
  • Ability to stand, walk, carry, stoop, speak and listen.
