Title: Behavioral Health Technician Residential (BHT)
Location: Keystone - 3575 Old Keystone Rd, Tarpon Springs, FL 34688
Shifts Available (40 hours a week): We have weekend rotations

Shift: Mon-Fri 3pm - 11pm Overnight: Mon-Fri 11pm - 7am
Characteristics of Position:
The Behavioral Health Technician Residential (BHT) will provide support to team members. This position supports the delivery of groups and activities related to life skills, independent living and social rehabilitation for persons served.
Core Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- BHTs provide non-clinical support and mentorship for those in the residential facility
- Performs admission and intake responsibilities including orientation, documentation, and searches for contraband
- Observes clients and document for changes in behavior
- monitors activities of clients
- motivates clients to participate in activities
- Expected to learn the Agency Handbook quickly in order to answer clients' inquirers and apply rules and regulations when needed
- Makes frequent rounds of facility to ensure adequate safeguards and client safety are maintained
- Assists clients in preparing for court appearances, medical/dental appointments, or other outside activities
- Document daily activity reports/case notes, incident/ injury reports and grievances
- Monitors and tracks compliance with self-administered medication process
- Builds new case files and breaks down discharged client case files
- Assists clients in gathering/obtaining personal property when discharged
- Perform related work as required or assigned
In addition but not limited to the Overnight shift Responsibilities:
- Record keeping - good computer skills are a MUST
- Fire watch
- Security rounds
- Monitors and tracks compliance with self-administered medication process
Requirements for the BHT:
- High School diploma
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- Valid Florida Driver's License and car insurance
Preferred:
- Certified Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT)
- Verbal de-escalation techniques
- Bachelor's Degree in a human service-related field
Physical Requirements: Safety/Health Considerations:
- Standing, walking, carrying, stooping, speaking, and listening.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be physically capable of fully participate in crisis intervention, CPR and First Aid training and be to apply in a work setting, if needed.
