Salary Range: $25.50-$27.50/hr.

Location: This is an in-person and on-site position that performs duties at a secured facility in Tampa, FL.

What You’ll be Doing?

  • Adhere to regulatory bodies and licensing rules, guidelines and established protocols to carry out all duties required by contract, licensure, accreditation, and certification relative to agency, program, service assignment and agency designated model for treating persons with co-occurring mental and substance disorders.
  • Assess clients for admission into treatment services and admit new clients, insuring proper documentation and that rules/requirements of program are explained.
  • Provide clinical services including, but not limited to individual, group and family therapy, assessments, develop, monitor and update treatment plan, and discharge planning, gives consultation to parents, and maintains professional communication with referral sources.
  • Observe clients for behavioral changes and progress in treatment and engages clients to talk about their mental illness and substance abuse, communicates empathically with clients regarding addiction, mental illness, medications and recovery, communicates with clients to promote understanding of their illness/illnesses and hope for recovery.
  • Conduct face to face interviews with clients to develop individual behavioral health or treatment plans and reviews individual behavioral health treatment plan prior to physician review and authorization.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation, clinical chart of assigned clients and management of records.
  • Participates in peer review and provides direction and professional development as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What is Required?

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or other human services field. 
  • One (1) year of experience professional clinical work.
  • Valid Florida Driver License. 
  • Eligibility status, as determined by Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 435 and/or Local Law.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at desk and working on a computer screen.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
